Church Changes - cheeky church welcome

Whether you’re here, watching live or catching up later, welcome to our gathering of people who love God - uniting today for a chance to worship our almighty loving creator, and also love and support one another.

If this is one of your first times visiting with us, don’t rush out the door when we’re done, We’d love to come and say hello and welcome you one-on-one, and if you’re willing, even hear your story of how you ended up with our family today.

It’s so lovely to have you all with us and we pray that by the end of our time together you will feel closer to God’s heart than when you joined us today.

Our pastor is away today. So with this in mind, I thought I will try and get a bit of business pushed though, without any obstacles.

1.      I welcomed the people watching us online earlier. Just checking, Are we willing to continue welcoming our online viewers into the future? All in favor?

2.      Drums in church: some are for them, some are not. As a final solution to this, I’m thinking we trial asking all percussionists to only play on every second beat, that way everyone can enjoy at least half of every song we sing. All in favor?

3.      It’s been noted that we have not had a hearty six-month sermon series on the book of Leviticus in recent years. Would we like to request this six month series of our pastor? All in favor?

4.      We’ve been paying 10% tithe for some time now. Would we like to raise this to 11% so our pastor can afford a neck tie for when he preaches? All in favor?

5.      Our amazing church lunches have always been vegetarian. Is it time we progressed, and changed the rules for our lunches, and mandate that all dishes are also vegan, gluten free, nut free and organic? All in favor? NO? How about a minimum of 5 dishes that contain potato at each lunch?

– thanks for your help with all that. I’ll pass this on to our new pastors.
